NEW: Distance checking now in
BIMcollab Zoom 9.0

Great news! BIMcollab Zoom 9.0 is out, and it introduces a new game-changer feature for your model validation; with Distance Checking, Zoom users can now review minimum distance requirements between elements in just a few seconds.

Quickly create groups of elements using property-based rules and evaluate their proximity. This is specifically handy if you want to inspect clearance zones, minimal installation margins, space for insulation, and mounting or assembly tolerance.
Get your distance checks resolved by
reporting them as Smart Issues.
Moreover, distance checks can be reported as Smart Issues. By combining these two powerful features, teams can prevent duplicated reports, get instant visual updates, and automatically run their distance checks, all while tracking their progress in the cloud! Quite impressive, isn't it? Head to our Help Center to learn how to elevate your model validation with distance checks.
TIP: Avoid compatibility errors! To start working with distance checks, ensure that all team members update their Zoom version simultaneously.

NEW: Use the Include parts checkmark to work with sub-components

Another fantastic addition to BIMcollab Zoom 9.0! The 'Include Parts' checkmark gives you control over whether sub-components are included in your Smart Views, Lists, and Conflict rules. Sub-components are the individual parts that make up larger elements, such as assemblies like curtain walls or container elements like spaces and building stories.
Depending on your needs, this feature can greatly impact your validation tests. Visit our Help Center to know more about this tool.
